Re: Valas Application
1. In game name: Valas Hunero (I've asked GM's to rename me too Valas Hune but all I get is, "a system will be created for renaming characters in future patches")
2. Real life age: 27 (old man me )
3. Forumfall Account Name (if any): Valas Hune
4 Approximate character skills: 55.91k
5 Darkfall playstyle: (You can be creative ...) Learner. I never played DF1. Rather, I had an account, moved my character around for a few hours, logged off and never played again ._., I don't really consider that PLAYING the game. I'm more interested in a community gaming environment, where we do things together and work as a team. That is really all I can ask for tbh.
6 How long have you been playing DF? I've played DFUW a few weeks after launch. I'm still very much a neophyte.
7 What other clans have you been in? (What did you like/dislike?) Blood / Grief. I didn't like the paranoia of Blood and towards the end of my stay with Grief I didn't like the paranoia / arrogance. I wasn't really in Blood long enough too get too know the people per se, but they weren't really active unless defending Erinthel at the time. Grief had more active members when I joined and I really liked the camaraderie. The entire de-alliance and activity of Grief lead towards my decision too leave.
8 Personal Info: I play soccer in a competitive league in Mary-land. I have a family, 2 daughters and an 11 month boy (he turns 1 year in 1 day! HOORAY!) and annoying misses >_<.
9 What you are looking for in clan? Friendly community and active clan. A team environment that accepts a loss but engages in honest feedback to try and learn from the mistake.

Re: Valas Application
After the situation tonight with Grief, Valas contacted me directly and asked if he would be accepted if he submitted an app to Abso.
When he sent a PM to Amuru letting him know he was thinking of leaving Grief, Amuru booted him from vent, their city, and their clan...
I would like to get him an abso tag, and let him try out our clan. Grief had a lot of good members, just a bad apple leader, I don't think Valas should be penalized for that. I would also like Abso to be a haven for more Grief members that many of us played with and liked.

Re: Valas Application
Valas Hune, if I am correct, is a Bregan D'earthe scout and spy. Also he stated he did not play DF1 as he was on assignment near Mt. Hotenow searching for Gauntlgrym.
He is always defending Vint.

Maybe? I'm not sure if my friends did anything with that account. The name should be unique, so. .. yes? I think. . ?Kneph wrote:BTW, is the same Valas Hune from DF1?

Got audible for my phone, so I pan to pick this up. I honestly got bored with Salvatore in the Thousand Orcs. It just lacked the spark the original series he did had. Cleric Quintet is still some of his best work imo.Valas wrote:http://goo.gl/3f1N8t - there is no telling what we're up too these days, buahaha!

Wow, I could have written that exact statement, Turtle. Weird. 100% agree. Cleric Quintet ftw!Turtle/Bazooka wrote:Got audible for my phone, so I pan to pick this up. Re: Valas Application
We are as one. On a side note, I'm taking proposal writing this semester; where is a good place to find grants to write proposals for? Everyone in class seems to have a non-profit or some shit they are involved with and I'm the ugly duckling with zero experience.paxprobellum wrote:Wow, I could have written that exact statement, Turtle. Re: Valas Application
Definitely! Thousand Orcs trilogy was very repetitive and predictable. Not sure I am a fan of this new series either though. I listened to a sample of the audible book and wasn't really impressed. No dramatization. However, I like the angle the Forgotten Realms team is taking to spice things up! A Sundering, sounds ominous!Turtle/Bazooka wrote:Got audible for my phone, so I pan to pick this up. I honestly got bored with Salvatore in the Thousand Orcs. I am a wizardly warrior! Har har! Depends on the situation :F. Primalist is the class I started out with but lost interest super fast. Had too go warrior to stay in the game . In PvM, I can always switch, for group support. The only thing missing is 20 points of wisdom and a mastery to make hardy gear.Chrispyz wrote:Wizard or Warrior?????

I was just curious if this was the same Valas Hune I played with on DF1 for a year or so. Probably not, but always nostalgic for those early DF times.

Yeah I have dallied with D&D to get a game going with my wife and daughter just for fun. 4th ed sucked. I picked up Pathfinder, but have always been a huge fan of FR.Valas wrote:Definitely!
