5 How long have you been playing DF? ( Other clans you have been in, etc. ): started playing on EU about 3 months before NA launch - Dark Hand of Valor

6 About you ( Gaming history, play schedule, work or whatever else you want to share with us ): Started my mmo hobby playing a text game called Darkness Falls and then Darkness Falls the Crusade which was the precursor to Dark Age of Camelot. Played DAOC for a long time and through DAOC got my wife into online gaming. We've also played Age of Conan, Warhammer Online, Rift briefly and SWTOR briefly. My play schedule is generally 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. eastern during the week - same on weekends with an hour or two in the middle of the day (though my wife lets me log on Saturdays or Sundays if a siege is happening outside of my normal play time ).

7 What you are looking for in clan/what we can offer you? Just looking for a laid back group of mature players to have fun playing DF with. Enjoy pvp'ing as well as pve'ing. I was intrigued by your recruiting post on forumfall because what my last alliance, as well as DHoV's stint in OTG, was sorely missing were long term clan/alliance goals. Everyone just seemed content with the status quo, never wanting to siege or stir anything up, so I am hoping to get with a clan that is looking to be very active, in a non-douche way (i.e. not targeting newer or super casual clan holdings for sieges). I know a handful of current DHoV guys would be interested in joining y'all as well.

How do you feel about re-rolling a human/mirdain/dwarf and living out of NPC cities and defending new players?

Most of us are in the same boat with a few hours a day at night time EST after work and life to do stuff in game. We are generally more about finding compatible personalities than l337 pvp'rs, so I think you may fit in well.

If your group leader says "Everyone go West", do you:

A) Say "Fuck that, why should one person be able to boss me around? I'm gonna fucking chase these two fucking fuck fuck people and die then complain!"

C) Follow the order, but make a relevant, brief, and polite comment about the situation if you have some extra info or opinion.

What happened to DHoV that you've left or are willing to leave?

Are you not or were you not the leader of DHoV?

Are you at all interested in any type of leadership role or are you just along for the ride?

What would you say is the single most enjoyable thing for you in game? No limitations on your answer.

B unless I have really important, relevant information the group leader should have (such as, I see 20+ reds just to the west of us), in which case C.

I led DHoV for awhile after the 3rd guy to run it stepped down and asked me to take over. Birth of my kid 18 mos ago changed my priorities so I stepped down as the leader. At that point we allied up with OTG and we basically had a leadership by committee which worked okay. Problem is the alliances DHoV joined around the period we were folded into OTG didn't have the two or three clear cut leaders needed to make decisions and get the alliance moving in one direction or another. DHoV is going to go back to inactive, as approximately 50% of our remaining actives have gone M.I.A. Our remaining actives (about 10 or so) have all indicated interest in joining y'all, which led me to go ahead and drop my own app. tonight.

To be honest, you guys have always had a strong leadership core, but I'll pretty much take on whatever role that's needed of me. I like to be an active and supportive clan member. Which leads to my answer to your last question, which I know will sound cheesy, but the single most enjoyable thing for me in game are the friendships I have formed with the guys I've played with in DF. Second most enjoyable thing for me would be winning those fights where it doesn't look like you have a chance of winning.

True that. I think that's why a lot of us are still around. AV needs to move DF 2.0 into high(er) gear.

One of my favorite moments in DF was when I ran out of arrows AND regs fighting one Colossus Ironfist at leaf island (east coast from Apautan) and I was super psyched when I still pulled out the victory. 15 minutes later, he PM'd me that he was just leading me away from his strongbox that I missed. /facepalm

Dhov was the first clan I half ass grief'd on EU. back when everyone would mine near their cities and hamlets.

Thanks for having me. Looking forward to fighting alongside you guys. The actives right now who had been core DHoV guys for awhile are Keropien, Indo, Kneph, Falcaine, Roff, Voleg, and Cligue (though Cligue just got shipped out to Okinawa so he's not sure how much he can play while stationed there). Miteeth and Zehtara only play in spurts as they are caught up in Diablo. Jackson went MIA about 2 weeks ago, but hopefully he will return. The other actives DHoV has who are all solid guys are Dragula, Draus, Grim and Tempting. Kero and Indo are Euros while Miteeth, Zehtara and Draus are Aussies.

I know Roff, Dragula and Kneph all expressed interest in joining you guys when I told them what I was doing so I linked them your recruitment post. I imagine a couple of the other guys might also want to join too.

Keropien, I love that Nazi fuck. He was my go to crafter in earlier na times.
